NICK RUBANO
NYC based theatre actor, full of love for life, learning, and the arts
Hi! I'm Nick Rubano (he/him/his), I recently graduated with my B.A. in Theatre Arts (Musical Theatre Concentration) from Sacred Heart University. I am thoroughly passionate about every project I engage in, offering all of myself to whatever challenges are presented. In addition to acting, I have experience in all aspects of theatre from production, to design, to crew, and stage management. Theatre reflects life and I am always thrilled at the opportunity to broaden my horizons and collaborate with new and familiar artists!
"His dynamically nuanced character of Bat Boy, evolved and devolved, was nothing short of masterful. His massive commitment to the work. His beautiful voice and soulfulness. His fearlessness. His playfulness. His knowledge."
David Boyd,
Producing Artistic Director, Catalyst Theatre Company

Reject Me, Already! at the Edinburgh Fringe

In this classic story of two hopeless romantics, the audience decide the actors' fate as they vote for who plays each character every night and who falls in love with who!
Bat Boy the Musical at Catalyst Theater Company

This November I made my regional debut, playing Edgar, the half human, half bat creature causing chaos in the small town of Hope Falls in the 2001 horror-comedy rock musical Bat Boy!

So much fun! I got to see the original NYC production back in 2001, and this new production from Catalyst Theatre Company, led by Nick Rubano in the title role was every bit as entertaining.

Catalyst Theater's 'Bat Boy: The Musical' shines with Nick Rubano leading a powerful exploration of acceptance and humanity in this intimate production about a journey of love and prejudice....
The Wee Review
This audience plumped for Nick
Rubano as Casey…Rubano brings a nice mix of cockiness and caution to his Casey.

Nick Rubano’s Edgar and Tracey Lynne Haskell’s Meredith create the show’s most compelling relationship. Their early scenes together, as she teaches him language through children’s books, are deeply touching.
